One of the things I do to ensure diverse leadership and representation is also to encourage autonomy among team members to give them a sense of ownership in the team. It is very important that while the team works collectively, each member has a sense of ownership. This ownership translates into empowering members to feel secured and allows them the freedom to be more creative in the decision making for more positive outcomes.
