It is incredible the capacity staff brings in when management creates space for receiving their feedback. I have found that when management proposes a well thought of plan, gives staff enough time to digest the information and provide their feedback, and then sincerely incorporates this feedback, they can produce a robust long term strategic plan. This plan has the buy in of the staff and hence will also have the most support.

I have found that having one or two large funders who are champions of your mission and are invested in your success, is one of resources a nonprofit can get its hands on.
