Ser míope ao acreditar que a função atual é extremamente importante, sem avaliar com verdade se existem outras maneiras de agir, é prejudicial. É essencial desafiar constantemente o método tradicional, analisar o comportamento humano sob vieses conscientes e inconscientes, e entender suas necessidades reais. Devemos focar em analisar dados, observar necessidades e estar sempre bem informados sobre tendências e regulatórios. Gostar de pessoas ajuda a avançar na inovação e mudança. Lembre-se, as mudanças são feitas para pessoas, sejam clientes, fornecedores, funcionários e investidores.

In this Era, we must learn to unthink, unlearn, undo and rethink, relearn and redo. Collaboration is always good but not with just any partner but more with strategic countries with mutual goals. The political landscape is extremely important in planning your research strategy as this can throw a huge spanner in the works for many projects nationally and internationally.Always have a discretionary fund and its A MUST incase things go wrong. Contingency plans is a must for any Researcher and non negotiable and always plan your work as such that money, politics and even the institution cannot influence the outcome of your goals. The problem most researchers experience as they are too reliant on other players in the game to get the work done

A telescope alone is too narrow a focus, you also need to interchange with a wide lense to ensure you: - accentuating movement - establish a more subjective point of view - create a larger frame for a actors and settings to be seen So, being AGILE is key, enabling you to switch between these two lenses, but going deeper, it also means being able assess, adjust and adapt quickly.

I've found the best way to anticipate change is surrounding yourself with bright, inquisitive individuals. Cultivate relationships with people in different roles, markets, private, public, and non-profit organizations. Get comfortable discussing ideas, thoughts, perceptions that don't align with your perspectives. You can consume a lot of information to gain a theoretical education of emerging ideas and trends; however the process of interacting with these ideas through discussion and open debate is one of the least expensive and effective means to begin moving from theory to application.

There's nothing hard about adapting to changes; what's hard is when the company has employees who don't want to follow the changes in their fields. But with positive support and encouragement, they can get through the changes without any problems. This is the only way to make their company more proactive and a leader in its own field.

Without a doubt, the new is something fundamental. I just want to draw attention to the fact that tools can bring us fantastic results, but it is people who can make a difference today and always. It is their perspective that can change everything and in this sense, investing in developing talent is always the most powerful tool we can have.

Un pensamiento diverso es más rico en oportunidades y el intercambio y colaboración con otros es clave para lograrlo. Podemos sentirnos tentados de seguir el pensamiento de aquellos que nos son afines. Sin embargo, nos va a desafiar más el leer, escuchar y colaborar con personas y profesionales bien diversos en culturas, prácticas, estudios e idiosincracia. Colaborar con distintos profesionales siembra en las mentes las semillas de ideas creativas. Mi sugerencia es acompañar la colaboración con imaginación -especialmente al inicio-, para luego seleccionar y priorizar esas ideas por su viabilidad y resultados.

A single look limits the field of possibilities! And that goes for everything in this world. You do it every day... Crossing the street, driving your car, changing direction on your bike ... every time you make a decision, you have to ask for another point of view, challenge yourself every time, it's vital. Anything that's built collegially is more intense and more effective.

Collaboration doesn’t necessarily start with the leaders of an organization. Executive-led collaboration is simply a nice to have. 2 truths: 1. Employees don’t need permission to do what’s right. 2. Networking is not just about getting the next role. There’s room for grassroots culture change and organizational transformation within a corporation. Lean into the learnings, observations and discernment you glean from fellow employees, partners and cross-organization leaders you solve problems with daily. Strategically initiating conversations with them, can result in real impact to your customers and organization. Collaboration can start with you no matter where you sit in an org. In my teams I have always met people who were like gems: great potential that needed to be polished, great ideas that needed confirmation, great will that needed to be empowered. I always chose to help those people unveil their great character and value, even when others told me that, with those encouraged aside I could fear of competition. I have never had such fears because I always chose carefully my teams, my society, knowing that intelligent and good people never rise upon others’ cost. And I was right. It is a great satisfaction to know that you could contribute to others’ becoming.

In my experience when I set out to learn with the intention of immediate application I really have to pace myself so that as I am learning my approach is focused. Once you uncover one key area.. there is so much more awaiting you. What do I need to know NOW, what do I need to know Next…

Developing a living rubric which will utilize your strategic pillars or strategic focus areas (and these change over time) to drive the importance and impact of each known initiative will help you continually prioritize where your Firm applies it’s resources. It will also allow you to see and manage the investments into particular strategies. Additionally, create powerful agility by keeping some capacity to jump on strategic initiatives that have a less than significant chance of success but has a huge ROI if successful. Of course these are work areas that you want to use the fail fast methodology. The point here is don’t utilize 100% of your resources on known priorities. There is power in flexability.

I learned to prioritize simply: "You can't eat an elephant all at once." Effective prioritization involves breaking tasks into manageable pieces. According to the Harvard Business Review, setting clear goals and deadlines is crucial. Begin by identifying high-impact tasks. Use tools like Eisenhower's Urgent-Important Matrix to categorize tasks. Delegate when possible and eliminate non-essential activities. Regularly review and adjust priorities based on progress and changing circumstances and, finally, remember: staying flexible and focused is key to maintaining productivity and achieving long-term goals.

Prioritizing effectively is both an art and a science. As you evaluate and prioritize innovative opportunities seek to determine directionally accurate cost/benefit - the science; while also seeking to understand the probability of success - the art. While cost/benefit can be formulaic, probability of success includes variables that are subjective and challenging to quantify; such as commitment to an idea, motivation, and adoption of new processes and approaches. Both the art and science of determining your innovation priorities are equally important in creating an effective innovation roadmap.

Innovation starts from the destruction of beliefs and habits. Stop thinking that you have been taught and what you are doing is the best method to work. Innovation isn’t always something absolutely new, it can be an idea used and adopted since decades in a different company or sector, but simply disruptive in your own context.

A significant breakthrough occurred when engineers shifted their focus from achieving equilibrium to managing disequilibrium. I am proud and lucky to be part of an extremely innovative team and happy I could bring my contribution to the business in the same way. The world is changing fast and even the best critical thinkers are only as good as the knowledge inserted into that thinking process. Continual learning is imperative, especially in high change environments. There are a plethora of ways to stay ahead of the knowledge curve. It is however, just as important to be selective in what you use to learn. Who is the author, who are presenting what at the conference, etc. the term expert is used far to often to just take it for granted. I would suggest you take more time determine where to gain the knowledge as actually acquiring it. Nevertheless, you need to keep obtaining new knowledge. Creating or joining strong peer networks is a great way to keep sensing what is advancing that you can use

What I've found over the years is that principles always trump process. Be really clear about the WHY behind your research. That becomes your North Star, and goes a long way to simplifying your assessment of the impact of some pivotal change. If something fundamentally alters how you would answer your Why, take that as an opportunity to retest all of your assumptions. If it doesn't, give yourself permission to monitor it without diverting you from your chosen path.
