One thing I've found helpful when it comes to networking at career fairs is breaking career fairs into three phases. Phase one: before the career fair. Here you want to research the companies, prepare your materials like resume, craft your elevator pitch and lastly dress appropriately. Phase 2: During the career fair. Here you want to arrive early, prioritize your 'targets',engage actively, showcase your knowledge , collect contact information and of course take notes after for ease while following up. Phase 3: After. This is the phase where you send personalized thank you emails, request to connect on LinkedIn and also follow up regularly .
