Software businesses and by extension all of health information technology are really people businesses. The focus needs to be on how people interact with technology and the only way to do that is to deeply understand workflow and its challenges and aspirations.

It involves aligning goals, fostering collaboration, bridging communication gaps, and being adaptable, innovative, and ethical guardians. HIT leaders must blend technical, clinical, and organisational skills and deeply understand the healthcare context and culture.
