How can learning multiple programming languages improve your robotics skills?

Most automated systems include a patchwork of several subsystems. Rarely are these all from the same vendor let alone the same language. Having the ability to at least understand the flow of various programming languages will allow you to more quickly navigate and possibly troubleshoot more deeply.

In my experience, most educational robots can be controlled with various languages. However, one language usually performs better than the other. In general when building a robot that is for education or outside of education, language matters. For educational robots, simplicity and ease of learning are often prioritized. Therefore, languages like Scratch or Blockly, which offer visual, block-based programming, are popular choices. However, these languages may not be the most efficient for controlling complex robots with real-time requirements. When building robots for industrial or commercial applications, performance and efficiency become critical to ensure precise control and minimal latency.

The different languages will often provide you with different libraries of various abilities. That is true. Also, learning different languages can help you with problem-solving and idea-generating.
