I agree if you are an online business only but I do not think that is the best option for a brick and mortar business although it can be intergraded. In my experience, using customers data from social media platforms helped me the most when finding the right audience to target online. Most of the social media platforms offer various customer insights, characteristics and metrics which you can use to know your audience better or to target the people you want. For example, Meta offers insights about customers location, age and interests on Instagram and Facebook, so you could learn who are following you, or can help you target specific group of people when you want to post a new ad.

Using LinkedIn as a portal to share your purpose, values and authenticity is a very powerful way to bring business to you. So many people are still in the trap of hard selling…which just evokes fear in most people. Would you open your door and buy from every person who walks past? Probably not. But if someone took the time to get to know you, for you to know them…you would probably like them, know them and trust them enough to do business. People should also stop spamming in messages…it’s a huge turn off. I’ve been on LinkedIn since 2010…not had a website and 100% of my business comes through my LinkedIn page.
