Creating an appropriate architecture that allows access to relevant data to all stakeholders is critical to making data and measurements meaningful. As an example, if your purchasing department doesn't know that you're using something far faster than usual, you may run out. Alternatively, you use that same thing slower and the routine order can't be received and stored properly. In another scenario, a manager needs up to date data for an upcoming board meeting, up-to-date information and ready access will make that presentation easier to prepare and fully defensible. Having data and using it properly for defining progress and efficiency is key to integration and access to that data will allow you to streamline your workflow.
