Reach out to professionals in your field for informational interviews or coffee meetings to learn about their experiences and insights. Offer value by sharing your knowledge and expertise, and be proactive in seeking mentorship opportunities. Building relationships takes time, so be patient, authentic, and consistent in nurturing your connections. Economists might start directly in consulting, but gaining technical skills is crucial, especially with AI's rise, making technical knowledge increasingly vital.

LinkedIN's 'Advanced Search' is a very powerful tool for identifying target network(s), whether you're an established company seeking new clients, or new graduate looking for potential employers. You can leverage Advanced Search by using: - Keywords: Use relevant keywords related to your target audience's job titles, skills, companies, industries, or groups. Combine them strategically to refine your search results. - Filters: Go beyond keywords by using filters like location, seniority level, years of experience, education, and even group membership to pinpoint your ideal connections. - Boolean Operators: Employ operators like AND, OR, and NOT to narrow down your search further and exclude irrelevant profiles.

As a fresh graduate I don't think you already have any personal brand created, so my advise will be to always try to connect to your potential contacts through another contacts you already know. Follow them on social networks. Make sure to join professional organizations or any events that can connect you with these candidates. Building your personal brand since you graduate or even during your studies is very crucial in our current environment.
