I think that the communication Plan is one of the fundamental elements of the Crisis Management Plan, and the company should split the contents of the information: internal and external. Many companies give more attention and prioritize more in external communication with public and relevant stakeholds, establishing clear and efficient strategies and mechanism to communicate at all levels, but they minimize the importance of internal comunication, the need to establish ways to collect,analyse, harmonize and disseminate effect/efficientlly the information to all (and among) employees.

The fourth step is to monitor and respond to the crisis as it unfolds. You should use social media listening tools, media monitoring services, and customer feedback platforms to track the sentiment, reach, and impact of the crisis. Stakeholder Management Relationships with external stakeholders that can support your organisation during a crisis should be established before a crisis. It is too late to try and establish who to contact during a crisis. These may include fire fighting services, local hospitals, specialists, media representatives, etc. Identify which external stakeholders could support or impact the different scenarios identified, develop a list of key people and start connecting with them.
