If we are familiar we a project, 80% set target/ goals is sure but if we are not familiar with the promotion pattern, we are confident by 50% - 60% of the set goal.Learn while you set your goal (self) and always find new way to achieve promotional targets.

If this is semi planned so that I'm store teams have signage and marketing materials in place, then in theory new promotions can be put on very quickly. An important consideration for buying teams is to really consider in detail what they are asking sales teams to execute and the manual labour involved. All too often I have walked into stores only to find there is a promotion starting tomorrow that involves 3 hours work. This does not motivate the team especially if they have to stay late / come in early to execute.
