I prefer to work on leading indicators as we can improve our process statistically prior to execution, it’s a pro active approach. If we missed to assess prior to execution then we can take an option to assess to work with lagging indicators to check the effectiveness of the executed processes. Both are well designed approaches, but my preference is always to work with leading indicators…

First focus should beon lagging indicators if at all the manufacturing process is not robust and consistent there won't be any point in focusing leading Need to take care which is lagging perhaps leading indicators will proactively come under control

En mi opinion lo mas caro es medir rechazos de clientes por no calidad, o defectos al final de la linea, estos son metricas rezagadas, anticuadas y muy costosas para el costo de produccion. El enfoque debe ser medir las condiciones de operacion, identificar las variables criticas del proceso que pueden generar un defecto, desde la entrada de materias primas e insumos pasando por condiciones de operacion del proceso o la maquina hasta el conocimiento del operador para tomar una decision cuando identifica una desviacion de su proceso que puede generar un rechazo de producto terminado.
