Understanding of the what is expected from the Vendors. Send a written communication by mail to the vendor and ask him to send a reply towards acknowledgement of Read all and understand what is expected from us. Also speak to the vendor. Before entering into contract discuss in person with the service provider point to point. In case of any of the point is not acceptable get it corrected.

Setup regular meeting with vendor on deliverables. If needed meet, 1. Weekly 2. Monthly Setup scope of work and follow-up with your vendor in regular interval. Make sure they received appreciation on their timely delivery and warning on theie delay. A positive, respectful communication along with constant monitoring can bring fruitful results to any deliverables.

Change is the Challenge. Once written and accepted terms can not be changed easily. It is a very difficult for the Commercial to get the terms amended. It is better to state there can not be more than one amendment in the PO.
