I agree in having to follow the principles of design, but we must not remain slaves to them any longer, our design principles, where possible, must be adapted to the context and I must guarantee ourselves the right flexibility: becoming too rigid on processes or flows, even if correct , could make us lose sight of the correct use of our methodologies. In my day-to-day experience (it may vary for different professionals), I consider that products move quickly "to the next thing" and it is basically due to the fact that competition and technology is advancing by leaps and bounds on a daily basis. Prototyping is one of those things that allows to highlight possible flaws, validate ideas, scale concepts. To be successful, I believe not only testing is necessary; but to actively listen, to apply design standards, to offer as much as possible micro interactions (if possible or if necessary). At the end of the day a wireframe, a LOFI/HIFI prototype can save time and resources on projects and products where we collaborate.

Similarly, in UX design, it is important to track how users interact with your web application, understand the problems they encounter, and listen to their suggestions. This will help you to improve your web application, make it more user-friendly, and enhance the overall user experience.

Thus, it is mandatory to keep an eye both on the UX best practices in your industry and on the technological advances in the field. Nowdays, the first step to innovate consists in keeping update your knowledge of the "state of art". Indeed, it is easy to find often new existing services, functionalities and processes to "reuse" in order to make the UX of your touchpoints more comfortable and frinctionless.

Change is the only constant. If you remember this, then you also remember that you need to keep an eye to changes from your user's behavior, thoughts, priorities, preferences and basically anything that would influence their experience and attitude towards the design. Something not working as expected, start investigating. The reason could be anything, so you also shouldn't limit yourself to one tool to tell you the answer. When in doubt, prototype and test.

And I also consider that since UX design is a continuous process, it goes through multiple iterations. It must adapt to new stacks of technologies, methods and cultural environments. Experimenting with new technologies, patterns or components in our projects often leads to great results, although in the industry there are elements, methods, patterns or layouts that work. Each case is unique, and therefore I believe that something vital in the teams is to encourage that space of "trial and error" or "thinking outside the box" that encourages us to obtain better and better results in our day to day work, allowing differentiate the products, teams or projects in which we participate.

From a technical point of view, the application and all its features should consist of simple segments independent of each other. To be able to make changes to a segment (edit/delete) in such a way that these changes do not affect the functionality of the entire product.
