I fully agree about experimenting with different formats and platforms. There is no magic formula, but in my opinion it is important to make an effort and stay committed to optimization. However, it is important not to just expect something from others, but to add value and give reasons why they should engage with you. One of the oldest and most important marketing rules: KISS. Keep it short and simple. But it's not just these that make up my online communication, but also the fact that I write the way I speak. Sometimes I feel like using emojis, sometimes word jokes and sometimes I want to philosophize about technical topics. Authenticity is the key.

Social media is not a platform where I make a name for myself. It's about giving a voice to people who don't have the means or the courage to speak openly about certain things. It's a mouthpiece, not an ego stage. People aren't necessarily interested in me. They're interested in what I can do to enrich their lives. First I have to think about what might interest my target group. And then you should check whether you were right by asking about their way of thinking and opinion.

Everyone claims to know and understand the importance of follow up, yet, so few do it consistently and purposefully. By no means am I saying that I have followed up perfectly in my lifetime. However, I can say for certain that out of all the methods, technologies, & softwares that have been made available to “fortify” and streamline us, nothing will beat the person[s] who follows up, and follows through. I have often said, if you want to drastically change your relationships and your business in less than 24 hours, begin by doing what you say you are going to do. Period.

Everybody knows that consistent follow-up helps build and strengthen relationships with prospects. It shows that you are committed, attentive, and value their engagement.

Say what you do and do what you say. That will make your prospect comfortable to interact with you and builds up your personal credibility or brand.

Hacer seguimiento realmente es conocer de primera mano el dolor que tiene tu prospecto, brindarle información que pueda ayudarlo a que esto se detenga, acompañarlo en el proceso de compra y acompañarlo luego de que compró, para saber qué tan bien le fue y así tener un círculo virtuoso. Y si tu servicio o producto es un oneshot, poder obtener insights para la mejora continua y sobre todo referidos.

Most people in a sales capacity are not used to creating content or communicating effectively on social media platforms. In-person communication is very different from digital communication, in an incredibly positive way, as you have many formats as well as different ways to engage with someone on social media, unlike in person where you either see or meet the person. Variety of content and variety of approach is important on social media. On LinkedIn for example, there are c30 different ways you can communicated with someone, directly or indirectly, that when done well, consistently grows your influence with them. If you have a process you can trust, you can achieve results whilst you’re developing your digital communication style.
