I start from the most important (lead acquisition) one and then go down the line to the least important (vanity metrics e.g. social interactions) 3. But, before even thinking about posting, you need to have a clear vision of where you want to be - do you want to be a thought leader? A superb commenter? 4. You'll also need a monthly, weekly, and daily plan which you need to follow so much that it becomes a "muscle memory" 5. All that is left - success

Defining metrics is the most important part because if one doesn't know what to measure and track then it's a recipe for disaster. 1) Be clear in your goals - you want to create awareness, downloads, website visits, engagement, etc., 2) Once the goals are set, the metrics become evident. 3) it's never about running a campaign and leaving it to platform algo to take of it. Measuring and constantly monitoring what's working and what's not is critical. 4) Optimise: optimize the campaign and change whatever is not working.

When choosing the right platform, you'll have somewhat of a hypothesis that you'd like to test. Now, even though I would always say - there are platforms for B2B and for B2C, we should never forget that even B2B companies are run by PEOPLE and you are targeting people, not companies. Also, another really important thing is that you should stay open-minded to testing all platforms, even those with less organic reach (META). You'll "never" know until you test it. And we all know - marketing and sales are all about TESTING.
