How can you use your content to inspire and motivate others?

Before anything else, you should self reflect and first get answers to what and why you want to create content? Is it to help a certain community? Or is it to share your love for a particular hobby? Or is to help others become better professionally/ personally? Or anything else... Once you have the answers to this, things become easier in terms of knowing your audience, your content pillars and more.

Here's one thing most won't tell you. The headline is probably MORE important than the content you write. The objective of the headline is to get the reader to become curious and then to move them towards reading. Then the next most important is the hook, the first line. The purpose of that, is to get people to read on further. If these are not up to scratch, in today's distracted world, 98% of the time, the reader will not continue, or at best will scan it over but not give it the time it needs with full attention. So you've lost them - even if your article happens to be Pulitzer Prize worthy. These two do a lot of the heavy lifting. Starting with a story helps, because it opens up a loop that the reader must read further to close.

Stories are the best way to add a touch of personalization. Imagine a person sharing tips in a general fashion and one person sharing those learnings through the lens of his/her journey. It is like backing up the points with data. When you share your story, people are able to trust more and resonate better.

My advice is to deliver value up-front. Often people will bury the value of a piece of content at the bottom to incentivise the reader to keep reading/watching. I find it better to respect the reader's value and to deliver it asap. That way even if they don't consume the full content, you have still delivered value to them.

While value can be subjective, the value you provide should be clear and solid. If it is a problem you are solving, mention HOW. If it is an emotion you are encouraging, mention WHY. If it is a tip/skill you are sharing, mention WHAT. Customers will always ask "What's in it for me"? So tell them.

At the end of your content, the audience will be wondering 'what now'. You need to make sure this what now is a clear concise call to action that builds upon your content. E.g. if your content is talking about the importance of investing, you must have a CTA helping the reader to get started
