For any data engineering initiative, the data life cycle from created, processed to consumed touch many departments in any organization, the key to a successful data engineering initiative lies in establishing common goals across all these stages. Each department, from the ones generating the data to those consuming it, must align their objectives with the overall business strategy. This ensures that the data collected is relevant, the processing is efficient, and the insights derived are valuable. It fosters a data-driven culture where everyone understands the role they play in the data life cycle. By aligning goals, we not only optimize the data life cycle but also unlock the true potential of our data assets.
