How do you leverage AI and automation in a CASB?

The integration of AI in Cloud Access Security Brokers (CASBs) marks a significant advancement in anomaly detection within cloud services. CASBs play a pivotal role in identifying and responding to unusual activities, such as large-scale sensitive data downloads, access to risky applications, or logins from atypical locations. I am promoting the automation of manual tasks in almost every other article but since this article is already doing that, I want to convey that there should be a consideration for doing automation through AI. Automation scripts and workflows designed by engineers/analysts comes with a credibility of being tested through a human review of trial and error but the critical tasks like enforcing org wide governance policies through AI looks more of an invitation to a disaster! Unless you've made sure that your AI is able to interpret the environment with at least 98% accuracy (which is very far-fetched currently), this should be done VERY carefully! I have almost zero to no problems with implementing for other controls mentioned in this article.

AI was also used to generate reports and dashboards that were easy to understand and actionable.

Data gleaned form various sources should be correlated correctly to assets in the network. Then AI can be leveraged to glean intelligence from the data for anomaly detection, etc. Automation is key so when insights are drawn they can be routed, assigned and actioned in a timely manner.
