Specially when presenting to leadership or business functions one should try to avoid general evaluation metrics like precision, recall etc and rather stick to some derived business metrics or to plain simple accuracy(if possible). Based on my own experience of presenting academic projects to both peers and professors, I can say that ML presentations are most effective when kept simple, with limited text and a greater emphasis on visualizations and diagrams. Crafting a block diagram of your newly developed model significantly helps the audience in grasping your idea more than verbal explanations or textual descriptions (visualization helps!). Furthermore, it's essential to provide a brief introduction to the concepts used in the project before delving into their practical application. Given the rapid expansion of ML research and development across various domains, not everyone may be familiar with these novel concepts.
