This in turn requires you to know what your current state is, what works, what doesn’t, what the current pain points are, and what your anticipated end state will be. You don’t even start talking about tools until you have all this stuff defined!

Defining your goals, metrics and 'Why' are important parts of transformation but all of these are achieved by having the right level of discussions (internal , customer). Ensure that you allocate the right level of time to this stage, as the outcomes from these discussions will shape the transformation that you plan to undertake.

This is the next click down from understanding top line goals, and desired individual outcomes. Here’s a cooking analogy to switch it up: Unit testing - checking each ingredient is correct and fresh for the meal (outcome) Integration testing - making sure all ingredient blend well, replace or adjust as needed to create whole components System testing - validating the output of all components Performance testing - is the kitchen operating efficiently to deliver during a rush, accurately? Security testing - confirming food safety standards are met, to keep the food in the menu. (In a food analogy…this should be done first) Critique this if it doesn’t make sense.
