What are the best ways to foster a positive team culture in Sales Operations?

Humans experience peak motivation when working on tasks that are right on the edge of their current abilities. For example: If you/team are already interested in a project, working on challenges of manageable difficulty is a good way to keep things interesting. I think you can't directly work on culture, what you can do is to identify rare industry opportunities and put together a team of right set of individuals to figure how to convert oppotunities into reality.

Communicating your goals your reasonings behind your end game. Focus on the positives, what you see the outcomes will be, and the 'why's' behind these. Making sure your team voice themselves, any worries they have or even ideas which may help with the future vision.

It is critical to have regular team meetings and discuss challenges and lesson larned, celebrate success and achievements and brainstorm ideas and solutions in an open, collaborative atmosphere. Establish a culture of continuous improvement and constructive feedback. Create a buddy system with senior and juniors. Foster transparency by setting clear goals and communicating openly about strategies, metrics, and performance. Encourage a healthy work-life balance by respecting boundaries and offering flexibility when possible. My personal view on a sales team is a little controversial and I know many who don't like it. I remove individual KPI's within a sales team (sector allows for it) and have team goals. I can of course see the contributions individually via the CRM. Team goals allow for a bad month or holiday months without fear of losing their jobs. They allow the team to work together to close something down with multiple view points being used. It also allows for far more continuity of service having multiple people involved. Ultimately the encourage collaboration, you need to allow your team to have a voice and voice that opinion without fear of repercussion. It allows for the team to develop in a natural way and for me to see leaders being born.

Follow by example collaborating with colleagues, partners and leaders to bring your best self to your team, and encourage them to do the same. It takes a team to create that will to win to fuel growth. Coaching, training, and mentoring comes from above, below and among your peers. Provide space to share best practices, open dialogue for questions, opportunities for others to respond formulating trust and cohesiveness among peers.

Muitas vezes, o simples reconhecimento de um trabalho ou um feito já é suficiente para alguns, enquanto outros precisam de outros tipos de estímulos. One of the things I have learned over the years, is that you have to have trust in your team. You have instilled in them the tools they need and the message that is to be conveyed. Let them be and they will go out and execute. You can re-group and re-adjust the following week on how you can improve and continually get better.

Promotion of diversity for me is like publicly speaking how much you like your 3 kids, no matter how different they are. Learning to be a human to different culture, backgrounds and identities are basics that should be learned at early age. We are all different, not just in terms of the culture or sex, we should be aware of this, not to promote every single difference.

Here are a few points to consider: 1. Continuous training and sessions for sales, promotion and self management. 2. Weekly review sessions to keep their track of improvement and consequently guide the team. 3. Make a practice in the team to help each other in achieving and share any experience which may help them to handle any particular situation. 4. Don't be a dictator but first ask their opinion on scenarios then guide accordingly. 5. Give feedback in front of all to everyone but in a way where they feel heard and answered.

Lead by example. Listen twice as much as you speak. Be humble. Always do the right thing. Share your past failures. A wise man can learn from others mistakes.
