Actually all I am finding here is software development processes and rules to follow in order to bring coherent code. If we are strictly looking at algorithms, then it is a topic of solving or designing problems and that is creativity or your expertise. It cannot be bound by a standard.

I am building up a large language model in C++. It works great for text generation on my Mac's GPU at around 50 kilo-samples/second which results in close to 11 tokens/second, quite a pleasant inference rate. Now I am working on debugging the transfer-learning interface. Like any good C++ engineer I started to organize the code for reuse. I made the mistake of constructing a virtual base class to define an interface and the program became unusable. My smart assistant was gone. The fix was to assign a template argument to the class instead of a virtual base class. This replaced run-time polymorphism with compiled code. Now I have my reusable code without suffering any performance penalties. For my application optimization is critical.

The names themselves have no real effect on the code, but the proper naming kind of ensures that the problem was properly thought out, which leads to more efficient algorithms.

And if it’s taking more time to execute itself then user will not get the answers itself. And nothing is more frustrating than sitting in front of system and waiting for long time to get response for your request

Later we need to put in extra efforts to resolve all these issues which will increase the overall maintenance cost of the project.

The engineers tell themselves that they will go back and re-work the algorithm when they have time to do it carefully, but that time never comes. With AI the scenario has completely changed. We just tell the machine the input and the outputs. It’s the machine that develops the procedures or algorithms. So I am of the opinion there won’t be any relevance for standardized practice or algorithms . Any real life scenario needs real time updation of the Enviornment where the agent needs to deliver.
