There is no such thing as starting prevention education messaging too early. We're telling high schoolers about opioid dangers, which is pretty late in the race to save lives. Start younger.

We need to stop to realize that everyone w/ addiction problems is terminally unique! People need hope!! Also, make Distribution of fentanyl (a substantial amount) equal to murder. People trafficking large quantities…. The risk/reward is obviously on their side. What’s the difference in someone shooting into a crowd of people and dealing fentanyl?? People are going to continue dying until we reverse risk versus reward! Joe 6 pack selling a couple pills to keep up his/her own habit is one thing. .. but tighten up penalties on the trafficking and distribution. Fentanyl is a miracle drug (I’ve had 32 spinal fusions) and some people actually need plain relief…. Distinguish the two and drop the hammer!
