I value genuine connections. When we reach out to someone, it should be with the intention of building something meaningful, even if it doesn't become a lifelong friendship. Even if the work done is temporary, staying in touch and helping each other grow should stay on top of our minds.

It is very important to have a virtual presence for the reason of growth. Not for a company but for the individual who desires to grow on what they know, and work on what they don't know. I become a certified Meta Frontend developer but my LinkedIn account was in a mess, my old account got suspended for unknown reason by Facebook. This lead to creating another account alongside my LinkedIn. I had a interview with a big Tech firm in Ikeja Nigeria. They accessed me but where having problems viewing my LinkedIn profile for it was suspended. I didn't get the work at the end. Which made me to know that virtual presence is a big deal.

The personal brand is related to the storytelling you have, if you are a professional who works in data, tell stories with them. Explain how you grew some indicator of your company, tell about the time you found anomalies in the databases, tell how you help your colleagues in their personal projects when they do not understand a mathematical or statistical topic. Show yourself as a person open to listening and supporting, that will make people empathize with you and be able to achieve better personal relationships.

Remember, it's not just about self-promotion – it's about building genuine connections. Here's a strategy I've found effective: Leverage the power of collaboration! Instead of solely focusing on solo content creation, consider reaching out to other data analysts in the contract space. Co-author blog posts, present at webinars together, or even create a mini-series exploring a specific data analysis challenge. This collaborative approach not only strengthens your network by connecting with like-minded professionals, but it also showcases your ability to work effectively within a team – a valuable skill for any data analyst, especially in the temporary and contract work world.
