I use Social Media as a tool when teaching languages. Students often like to engage using the language they are learning to expand on their cultural knowledge and day-to-day idioms used in that language. When using social media as an educational tool, we must take into account students' interests and levels and let them have hands-on choices of topics, ideas, and ways of interaction with the platform. Teacher's guidance is essential as well during the process. Many projects we initiated were students' ideas and students' lead, which made them much more engaging and effective. Example Idea: reading posts about art by people who live in the target language country and reflecting on their perception of art and choice of language.

If we can create infotainment content and upload it across social media such as YouTube and Insta Reels, there are high chances they start interacting with our content. That's how we can provide them maximum value, while educating + entertaining them.
