What do you do if your clients' cognitive biases hinder their logical reasoning?
As an executive coach, you may encounter clients whose decision-making is skewed by cognitive biases. These biases are systematic patterns of deviation from norm or rationality in judgment, which can lead to perceptual distortion, inaccurate judgment, illogical interpretation, or what is broadly called irrationality. Your role is to guide clients towards recognizing and mitigating the influence of such biases to improve their logical reasoning. Understanding the interplay between cognitive biases and decision-making is crucial for effective coaching.
