What do you do if your team members lack motivation and need inspiration to achieve their goals?

I believe appreciation and recognition are huge drivers to employees motivation. While some people may think they are both the same, however there is a difference between them. Appreciation is not tied to performance or outcome. It is simply appreciating the person as he is, frequently, & informally and given from\to all grades. Appreciating the employee's value would simply drive to better connection and trust. While on the other hand; recognition is about what someone has accomplished through giving feedback on their achievements and celebrating their positive contributions. Happy motivated employees can drive the business into better places indeed!

First of all, I will be scheduled an informal meeting with my team members and try to diagnose the actual reason for demotivation. After diagnosing process I will try to replace their negative thinking with positive thinking through an open and clear discussion.
