If your trading strategies need optimization, you can: 1. Analyze past trades to identify patterns and areas for improvement. 2. If you are struggling with consistency go back to the drawing board. Refine your rules, back test until you are happy with a chose success rate then trade this system by the rules with your personal capital and deal with emotions around your strategy. If you are still inconsistent approach someone more senior it will either be YOU and your psychology around trading or your strategy is not fine tuned enough however you should have picked this up when backtesting!

Agree however from experience far too many new traders pick up bad habits from trading demo's. They naturally trade high lot sizes with no emotional attachment and believe they can do the same on their small personal account. Forget the money.. stick with % growth. Start small if you need to but always think of the bigger picture.

In my experience…paper trades are always profitable as similar to demo accounts…I would prefer live trading on smaller quantities until mastered strategy
