One thing I have found helpful in my career as an Agricultural Extension Agent is communication. When I disseminate I make sure the receiving end can and should be able to understand my message as a layman will do. Farmers don't need big English they only want results and that's why the soil test unit can be simplified using color chat, texture, etc.

I believe on a whole, these four points reflect well what is needed, to make understandable the results of tests done on soil. I have found that in general most land owners, and farmers of sound mind are actively pursuing better knowledge. Some I know read hours a night, working on logs, and approach there work as problem solvers. Certainly there is a need for better access to information and making data available and accessable. Often the information is available, but for the average person they don't know where to look, or to obtain it; it's seen as more expensive than it's worth. Community outreach, education can offer help to people seeking answers. In conclusion, I always recommend hiring and working with a professional such as myself.
