Over the years, I've coached many leaders in effective communication. I've seen how open communication can positively impact culture. And how culture impacts employee satisfaction and high performance. So it's a big competitive advantage for small businesses. When an employee feels connected to the company’s mission, they willingly work towards its goals. Share ideas and collaborate. And often ‘going the extra mile’. But they need to feel the company mission throughout the organisation. This requires effective leadership communication at every level of the organisation. So I would encourage small business owners to build the communication skills of themselves and their leadership team. It's a low cost investment with a high return!
