What are some Machine Learning projects that will impress employers?

In my first research-level project, I aimed to classify diseases from chest X-ray images using Keras. After gathering a labeled dataset, I preprocessed the images by resizing, normalizing, and applying data augmentation to increase training diversity. I chose Keras for its simplicity and experimented with CNN architectures like VGG16 and ResNet50, leveraging transfer learning to improve performance. I divided my dataset into training, validation, and test sets, fine-tuning my model through hyperparameter adjustments and iterative testing. When I started my EPICS project on Anthracnose Disease Detection in Chilli Leaves, it was challenging to work with real-world image data due to the absence of existing datasets. So, I explored my village, capturing data with drones, and segregated diseased and non-diseased images into folders. I resized the images from drones and mobile phones, augmented them for diversity, and normalized the data. Opting for MobileNet Architecture, known for its lightweight design with depth-wise and point-wise convolutions, I achieved good results in accuracy, and precision, and created a confusion matrix for analysis. So This Project will help me to Contribute my society for farmers to detect severity of disease as well as advancements in Agri Domain.
