You have a great mobile app. How do you get it to the people who will love it?

Understanding the market, user needs is the first step in tapping the bigger market. One should first start with the goal of getting Product Market Fit (PMF) by understanding of the key pain points & building solutions around that. This will help gaining the momentum. Once you know that you've built something that really solve a problem or pain point, it's easier to reach larger audience by finding different segments of users having similar problems.

To ensure your great mobile app reaches its intended audience, define your target demographic, optimize app store listings, leverage social media for engagement, collaborate with influencers, encourage user reviews, create compelling content, join relevant app communities, implement ongoing app store optimization, run targeted advertising campaigns, offer promotions and incentives, build partnerships, monitor analytics for user insights, engage in public relations for media coverage, and network at industry events to showcase your app and receive direct feedback.

Android and iOS are undoubtedly the most important platforms to publish apps where it can reach a high number of users. In some cases, apps can be relevant to specific platforms only. But the key thing here is to publish the app in the correct marketplace as it plays a significant role in delivering the apps to the (right) people. For Android, that would be the Play Store, for iOS, app store, and so on. There are other marketplaces as well, for example we have Galaxy Store, Amazon App store etc for Android but it won't be possible to reach even a fraction of users than it would have been possible from Google Play.

Social media is way more popular these days. On average a person spends 2 hours and 24 minutes on social media every day. Leveraging social media effectively can get your app to the people who love it. Utilizing targeted audience ads and influence marketing gonna increase application popularity dramatically.

Social media is one of the most important platforms to promote one's app. Unfortunately, promoting apps to your friends (putting a story, DMing a bunch of your friends about your app and asking them to share) will not work, as eventually your friends will get bored by doing the same. So it is important to identify the audience of your app, the users who would find your app relevant. Once that is done, you can join relevant groups in various social media platforms and promote your apps there. People in those group would find the app relevant, thereby driving installs.

Sometimes when you ask users for feedback they don't provide you with much help. In this case what i found helpful was smart use of analytics tool. I used Firebase: - A/B testing to test your changes. - Events combined with Funnels. - Identification of important events to track and make data driven decisions.

It is important to regularly update the app (and promote the app update to relevant people). One can use the update channels (beta, alpha) to do it efficiently. For Android developers, apps in the Play Store get better visibility which are very stable (very few crashes are captured) and are updated regularly.
