One thing I've seen from the past is to export all data to Excel Spreadsheets, hire a team of 40 people as Business Analysts, have them copy this data, daily into an analysis tool, but also ask them to modify the data by hand to fix any consistency issues with the source of truth data. Doing this obfuscates business value, wastes operational cost, and drives your company to layoffs, but since there is a team of 40 people, that manager quickly gets promoted to director, so it's a good example of a win-win-lose. The manager wins, the people reading the data win, the company loses. But then you can go shock the world.

Instead of simply providing an AI application (e.g. ChatGPT) with all the data and asking it to analyse it, you should turn it around. You can tell the application to first ask you for all the information it needs to analyse the data.
