I have worked with top performers for many years. It’s a delight to work with people who have a great attitude, like a challenge and love to over-deliver. It’s a bit like a game. ‘Tell me what you expect me to do.’ ….. And let me awe you! Giving these gifted individuals with great attitude simply more work is just not good enough. It’s the job of the leader to give these talented individuals tasks that take them outside their comfort zone and expand their current job. Give them the space to help you with a problem the company has been struggling with for a while. Request them to exhibit ownership mentality. I promise, in most instances they will deliver beyond your wildest imaginations.
