To stand out among the crowd means that you have to build a thick skin yet very porous for criticism. As a creative, navigating criticism can be challenging but there are some ways to turn it into stepping stones. 1. Accept criticism from the point of love and correction. See it as a way of improving on your work especially if the criticism is centered on what you have done. 2. Write down the thought of the critics and see things from their perspective too. When you write down about two to three, you might see where the criticism is dominant and work on that aspect. 3. You don't have to dwell on all criticism. Criticism is an inevitable part of life, following us like a shadow. However, it’s essential to distinguish between unconstructive criticism and genuine feedback meant to help us grow. Parents, teachers, friends, and superiors often want to bring out the best in you. Listen carefully to their advice and use it as a tool for self-improvement. By embracing constructive feedback, building mental strength, and refining your skills, you transform challenges into opportunities. Consistently giving your best and staying true to your ideals will set you apart and make you a stronger, better individual every day.
