One way is to find the common goal between the operators and management, then engage in meaningful dialogue to achieve long-term and sustainable solutions following the principle of ALARP (As Low As Reasonably Practicable) by keeping the risk lower.

Assess the following: - Engage with operators to have open honest meeting on issues. Express we are going to work together to resolve the problems as a team. -Sometimes it best to start with a blank canvas or start again. - Risk assessment -check operators have read and understood the risk assessment. - Assess if present formal induction process and has all training been completed. - Where required conduct refresher training for operators last trained 5 years or more. -Establish a safe systems of works for all to follow. Review the safe systems of work annually at first then every 5 years.

Acredito que toda mudança, vem a partir do diálogo e das mesas de reuniões para com os operadores de máquinas, com o intuito de melhor compreender tais dificuldades, até por que não existe uma verdade absoluta, mas sim o certo e o errado conforme preconizam as normas. Mas, tudo é como apresentar, falar e fazer com que entendam e você consiga trazer para o campo da segurança aquele profissional que muitas das vezes com anos de experiencia, traz consigo comportamentos já viciados por conta da importância que o mesmo tem dentro da empresa, etc.
