To secure urgent deliveries, communicate clearly with suppliers, offer incentives, explore alternative suppliers, utilize local suppliers, leverage express shipping, coordinate with logistics teams, track shipments proactively, and have a contingency plan.

Expendables cost the same, and shipping costs the same, if you take delivery a week prior should you have a place to store them. Same with non-crewed rentals like tableclothes, or stage curtains etc. And taking delivery a few days early, and moving these items to the venue yourself is often less costly to the fiscal budget, and definitely a savings on your mental/emotional budget. Stress kills events and people.

This strategy will also give you competitive pricing and secured deliveries as second supplier will still be able to continue the supplies. :- Incentives the suppliers so that you should be always be in first in their priority customer list in case of real crisis like semiconductor shortage / raw materials scarcity etc. :- Close communication at quick interval’s will ensure to get information timely about any supply disruptions.
