Answer truthfully. If your data modeling has been done in draw.io, Visio, or PowerPoint, say so. If you've worked in EA, Erwin, or other modeling tools, discuss them. If most of your data modeling has been in transactional or operational data, discuss how you optimized for write performance, maintained data integrity, and modeled for operations. If most of your data modeling has been analytic (OLAP), warehouse/lakehouse, or other "denormalized" implementation, talk about modeling for analytic performance, large data sets, and validation against systems of record. Focus on the process of requirements and modeling rather than the technical aspects of creating the models unless the question is specifically about tools.
