I've interviewed and hired multiple candidates globally and often faced this challenge of language barrier. To overcome this, the multiple tools that I've utilised are: 1. While conversing, be crystal clear and be as to the point as possible. 2. Try and use virtual tools like google meet which has inbuilt translator as well as english caption reader which can help the person to understand the conversation easily. 3. While conversing, keep asking in between if the candidate is on par with the conversation that is going on, so that there is no gap.
