O engajamento dos alunos refere-se ao grau de envolvimento, participação e investimento dos alunos em suas experiências de aprendizagem. Isso inclui a participação ativa em aulas, discussões, atividades extracurriculares, bem como o interesse demonstrado pelo conteúdo do curso e o desenvolvimento de habilidades.

En mi experiencia lo más importante es que los alumnos difruten de las lecciones. Una parte importante es el dominio del tema por parte del profesor, y algo que en lo personal me ayuda es la forma en la que se enseño, una mezcla entre RETO, ENTRETENIMIENTO y OBJETIVIDAD. Reto: Aquí debes hacer mediante la exposición clara del tema y en mi caso la rapidez en la explicación, en este caso los estudiantes saben que si no ponen atención; se van a perder puntos clave de la clase. Entretenimiento: usar un lenguaje profesional, pero en ocasiones coloquial y sobre todo utilizar el método socrático con preguntas abiertas sobre su conocimiento o sus opiniones. Objetividad, enseña lo que sabes y responde solo lo que sabes, si algo no sabes, se sincero.

I like to start my classes with current events, news, even memes that are popular at the moment and connect that with the content we are covering. You would be surprised how well organic chemistry and many different fields of interest overlap, from agriculture to medicine, to football!

Quality feedback from students is important to know your students abilities and how to get them to engage. Lessons need to be interactive. Lecture, ask questions have plenty of break out sessions with students getting into groups to discuss solutions to case studies, and ways to apply the lessons learned. I love role play with props, some quiz competitions using information from the lecture. Field trips, speakers and other experiential learning experiences. Find fun unexpected ways to keep students engaged and motivated.

Je vois des contributions très intéressantes à base d'outils technologiques Je pense néanmoins qu'il est important de comprendre que ce qui garanti l'engagement des étudiants c'est avant tout la passion et/ou l'envie de transmettre du professeur. Beaucoup pensent que la technologie peut remplacer le professeur mais même les outils d'animation deviennent rapidement lassants. Pire, les indicateurs fournis par ces logiciels deviennent vite le "meilleur moyen" de mesurer (la compréhension, l'apprentissage...) Alors qu'en réalité ce n'est pas ce qu'ils mesurent. C'est en se trompant d'indicateurs, que l'enseignant se perd et cesse d'enseigner. Enseigner c'est se demander ce que l'on veut transmettre et comprendre ce que comprennent les étudiants

Una oportunidad para aumentar el "engagement" con los estudiantes es crear experiencias mucho más centradas en la realidad profesional a la que se van a enfrentar (placenteras y displacenteras). Para ello se puede recurrir a diversos formatos conceptuales que permitan crear experiencias lúdicas y de valor para su futuro. Una táctica que he implementado, es propiciar espacios con profesionales graduados y que actualmente laboran en las áreas de interés profesional de los estudiantes. Esto permite abrir espacios de diálogo y de co-creación a través de talleres y otras instancias de aprendizaje que son del agrado de ellos y tiene el valor de ser algo que pueden visualizar en lo que les espera fuera de la universidad.
