Making an educational video requires knowing the target audience. Content can be tailored according to the age of target audience.It is important to understand the previous knowledge of the audience. I believe language of communication is also important. Therefore we should know our audience. Depending upon age group of audience, style of teaching can also be modified.

A few learning sciences principles - Concrete before abstract: Always start with concrete examples and then generalise ideas! - Depth vs breadth: Focus each piece of content on a specific idea. Try to tackle, ‘what if, why not, …’ questions to go deeper. - Story telling: Make learners care about the problem (the conflict) before explaining the solution. Ask yourself, “what question is my content an answer to”, and try to articulate that well. - Use backward design. First plan the summary, then the storyline than supports it, and then the visuals that support it. (Not the other way around)

To plan the content l have to understand my target audience's age, educational background, and learning preferences. Tailor my content to meet their needs and Select a topic that is relevant, interesting, and aligns with my curriculum. Consider current trends, common challenges, or frequently asked questions.

I will plan my content, the content that is highly in demand or that is not available freely or abundantly. I will make free content, that can be accessed by anyone.

It's a fast world and there are a lot of distractions for students these days and they're only motivated to learn and get themselves engaged in the educational or any of the teaching activities if they found it a)relevant b)exam centric( in order to achieve good grades or scores) c) informative and useful in the near future If the knowledge that you're trying to impart in them differs in any way they're going to deflect it and eventually seem to lose interest. So in order to get them engaged to the content one must be vigilant and efficient enough and have to incorporate the latest trends and Methodologies.

Having the most expensive tools on the market to record and a PowerPoint presentation does not necessarily mean your educational resources are going to be received well.
