Recently, I conducted a training session Training for Trainers (ToT) with my colleagues about Online Teaching Tools to enhance their skills for 21st Education Learning Style. This is to prepare them, especially for the coming semester. That ToT gave them hands-on experience with multiple platforms and tools available. I divided them into categories that will be using a LMS (learning management systems), ice-breaking and survey tools, assessment, and portfolio. This is important because everybody should know and experience 1 or 2 platforms and, later, be able to deliver with other colleagues, as well for other (ToT).

Implement spaced learning techniques by spacing out learning sessions over time and reinforcing key concepts at regular intervals. Spaced repetition helps strengthen memory retention and recall by repeatedly exposing learners to the information over spaced intervals. Review key concepts multiple times through quizzes, gamified learning, and recap sessions to help learners commit the information to long-term memory.

During a recent information session, our team set up a discussion forum. The exchange of ideas and experiences among learners not only enhanced understanding but also fostered a sense of community. My suggestion for companies looking to encourage social learning is to embrace community-building tools like online forums to foster collaboration and enrich your student's e-learning experience. What we found to be a game changer in our evaluation processes was streamlining student feedback. We prioritized making it easy for learners to share feedback, ensuring their voices shaped our e-learning experience. This, in turn, helped us foster an environment of continuous improvement and engagement. Some good ways to do this in the e-learning space are: ✅ Adding feedback buttons within your courses to allow students to provide quick feedback on specific sections or features. ✅ Hosting live Q&A sessions where learners can directly interact with instructors, and ask questions in real-time. ✅ Creating dedicated discussion forums where learners can openly share their thoughts.

Add emotion to your e-learning. Emotion help people remember. A story where we can identify to the protagonist, an unexpected event, a fun reference: they help the learners remember.

Develop a learning experience for them rather than just onboarding courses, do a constant follow up with them to stay up to date with their feeling and making them feel part of the team, and request feedback after the learning experience, after 3 months, and after 6 months to check their progress. And another important aspect is to have the direct managers involved in this process.
