Based on my experience, it is important to not make assumptions when it comes to meeting candidate's needs. Every candidate has their needs and wants, and sometimes, we fall into the trap of labeling the candidate for a certain role based on his/her background and career history. By doing so, we are not being sensitive to understanding the candidate's needs, and eventually will not be successful in helping the candidate. As such, it is important to have an open mind and not have any pre-emptive judgements on the candidate. In fact, a good recruiter should be creative in coming up with career options for the candidate rather than rejecting him/her based on career history. Let's not judge a book by its cover
