How do you build trust as a leader? NOTHING builds trust faster than being consistent. You need to show integrity, honesty, and transparency in your actions and decisions. Be consistent in your words and actions. Do what you say you are going to do. When your team sees that you uphold high ethical standards and follow through on your commitments, they are more likely to trust and respect you as a leader.

In my experience the most helpful points gaining traust with my team were: 1. showing that I am part of the team and that success is a shared effort and will be a shared merit 2. being open and giving exceeding information than the team would minimally need to give them the possibility to connect and understand their role and contribution in the value chain of the organisation

Do you homework first. You dont have to know everything..but if you want to lead people and pitch ideas you have to know what you are talking about..or you have to know who to ask..and know how to execute a process. If you have that you build authority and become and inspiration because people will say "Man, that Jörn dude really knows his stuff"..so then comes trust as well

It would be an effective approach to break your Idea into parts. There should always be three dimensions to your idea. The idea: It means knowing the actual idea. Knowing everything about it. If you know that your idea is unique, it is a great start. What’s in store for the listeners: Nobody will listen to your idea if it does not offer them anything. People want to know what value it can add to them. It is actually the most important part. Plan of action: Talk about how you want to execute the idea. If you have a plan of action in place, your suggestions/improvements is more likely to be accepted.

Clarity of thought can make your ideas pop and stand out. Another thing that helps is short and crisp storytelling to present your ideas to your team. Everyone loves the answer to "What's in it for me?" When you effectively address that in your idea presentation, you can convey your ideas confidently to your team.

On top of being clear and articulate, try to present your ideas in multiple ways. When team members hear same information presented in different ways, their retention rate goes up.
