The latter, even though key for economic activity and employment due to its direct link with supply chain, is often overlooked in SUMPs or ITS studies. Especially in urban cycle context, resolving last mile issues or strategically locating dismantle/assembly and distribution points, is equally important to passenger transport aspects in terms of overall impact. Interdisciplinary aspects are also significant, eg with energy: Depot/opportunity charging profiles/strategy for battery electric buses, renewable energy sources etc.
