La definición clara y precisa del alcance es clave para lograr que un proyecto finalice exitosamente, sin dejar de lado que cuando se realice la ingeniería con participación de un consultor externo este debe asignarse en base a una selección rigurosa para tener mayor confiabilidad en el proceso. Aunque ningún Proyecto finaliza según lo planeado, se puede lograr con un buen manejo del cambio (realizando análisis de costos, tiempo, calidad, recursos, satisfacción) que las modificaciones impacten negativamente de manera sustancial el desarrollo del Proyecto. Para lo anterior también es importante realizar balances de entregables en forma técnica acorde al objetivo final.

En la gestión de la corrupción del alcance, es necesaria la participación de los interesados empezando por el equipo de trabajo involucrado acorde al cambio, ya que considero que es contraproducente tener más de lo requerido. Los Stakeholders también son claves en este proceso. La identificación de nuevos riesgos en base a un análisis periódico nos ayuda a visualizar futuras modificaciones anticiparnos a estas, estableciendo planes de mitigación y no tener que tomar medidas de urgencias que pueden generar mayores costos o tiempo adicional para finalización del Proyecto. Creo que es importante tener claro el objetivo final del proyecto en base a la misión y visión hacia futuro y no quedarnos solo con el enfoque mediático del Proyecto. .

Todos los aspectos técnicos, de costos y de cronograma entre otros deben quedar debidamente documentados, no solo para menoría del proyecto, sino para que cuando este finalice y se realicen las sesiones de lecciones aprendidas, nos sirva para que los futuros proyectos no incurran en errores similares. La elaboración de planos récords (As Build) y la documentación en comparativos de costos y cronograma con relación a la linea base son claves para controlar la corrupción del alcance. En proyectos claves es necesario tener como parte del equipo el Grupo de Control de Documentos, que organicen de manera eficiente toda la información desde el inicio del Proyecto y no solo en la fase de construcción como se pude ver en algunos casos.
