In my experience, a successful R&D leader communicates with other departments such as production, maintenance, QA, and RA. The main goal of all activities in R& D is to launch a product to market. For example, I precipitated in a meeting for technology transfer and all members focused to cost of equipments, materials, etc. I asked the R&D leader what was your biggest concern to produce the first vial in this project. He said “ technicians who have to trained 6 months in the plant and trained properly to transfer the technology to the project “.
