Some people are a mix. They know when to delegate, when to coach and have vision! Sometimes we lose our focus or ourselves in life. And forget who we are. Appreciate knowing who you are. Self awareness. We know our strengths & weaknesses. Though we may choose not to acknowledge them!

Delegation provides opportunities for growth through coaching and mentorship. I delegate to build a team of leaders who understand not just their roles, but the roles they hope to promote into. I look beyond myself to those who will one day replace me, whether it is when I promote to my next role, or leave for another opportunity. My goal is to help others see their potential and grow. I also try to hire people who have strengths in areas where I may find myself or my team lacking. I try to provide the opportunity for everyone to be successful while creating an environment where we can learn from one another. As a leader, my job is to ensure we are all in alignment working towards the same outcome and to meet the business' needs.

In my limited Experience, True leadership is having a sound knowledge base of your domain and knowing when & how to transition between different leadership styles like Coach, Delegator etc. Also, the essence of leadership lies in knowing when to act softly and when to act harshly. And most importantly, true leadership lies in nurturing your sub-ordinates and motivating them to thrive under all conditions.

Some of the best leaders I've had left their egos at home. It's okay to ask "how can I be better for you". As a result I felt like I could trust them and it enabled me to give them feedback not just on their performance as a leader, but highlighting organizational hurdles that could make the job I was doing harder. I've worked on some teams who's performance skyrocketed once these types of conversations began to take place.

Our progress often depends on our perspective toward feedback. It’s crucial to view feedback not as criticism, but as a valuable gift that illuminates blind spots and celebrates strengths. Set aside ego to genuinely embrace feedback from peers, mentors, and team members. This opens up a path to learn and evolve. Regularly ask, "How am I doing?" and "What can I do differently?" Use the insights constructively, not personally, to enhance your leadership capabilities.

The main strategy is to seek weekly feedback from the team in order to identify improvement points and find solutions to daily challenges.

Feedback will help for the 1) to know yourself better about how you may appear in front of others. They see the truth you never will, you, a mirror is your reflexion only. You, but only regarding their own biais, thats why you need several feedbacks from different profiles. That way you will have a better consciousness of how you can be perceived from other and you will be able to be understood better. It is important for the information to flow where its needed in order to be more accurate. Fear of criticism dosent help, welcome it as opportunities to grow in a way or another, its just information.

I would say, a leader should be able to clearly communicate across teams. Able to be approachable. Influential along with motivating people. Enhancing in quality of team maintenance with regards to the state of mind.

Thats why the 2) feedback is important, by knowing the effect of your communication, behaviour, appearance, charisma, regarding to who you talk as you listened to them, you will better know how to behave, to transmit how you see things, whats needed without hurting, and make feel everyone belonging to a common project. In that way, if they are free from distirbing or overwhelming emotions, and feel understood and valuable, they will focus better on the subject knowing their role precisely for wich clear end. And they will certainly find pleasure helping each other, sharing informations and make it a living organism, a team with a goal.

Effective communication is indeed the lifeblood of confident leadership. It's essential to ensure that your message is crystal clear, concise, and devoid of ambiguity. Practicing active listening is key to understanding the needs and concerns of your team. A leader who communicates effectively can articulate their vision and expectations, facilitating alignment with organizational goals. By honing your communication skills and fostering open communication channels, you can strengthen relationships within the team, boost morale, and drive success towards common objectives.

In order to enhance the effectiveness of communication, it is crucial to engage in attentive listening, interpret non-verbal cues, employ precise and unambiguous language, actively seek feedback, and cultivate an atmosphere of collaboration and cooperation. These elements collectively contribute to the overall success and impact of our interactions. Simple as that :)

Learnings at the cusp of becoming a Team Leader, are so essential. Empowering the team with the right mix of delegation and trust; otherwise most of the time one will be managing someone else's monkeys. Research has proven that those who introspect their own biases, try to put that aside and make real efforts to involve their juniors in tasks. They not only are getting work done, but at the same time invite a confident junior who looks up to the leader and builds stronger relationship.

To enhance your leadership role in an organization by empowering others, you need to focus on building trust, fostering open communication, delegating effectively, providing opportunities for growth, and recognizing achievements. Encouraging autonomy and collaboration among team members can also boost confidence and overall productivity.

Strongly agree with this statement because I think people need to be in charge of something and having opportunities in order to demonstrate their effort and strength fostered no their confidence also gaining knowledge about their achievements.

I disagree with the reference to "empowerment " in the role of a leader as it risks suggesting the power imbalance among a team and organization; thus contradicting the essence of a strong leadership. In a society where equality and collaboration are essential to fostering inclusivity and respect, empowerment suggests one has the power to and is biased in nature. Collaboration however, suggests sharing of, working with and illustrates the sharing of ideas, resources, and responsibilities to achieve common goals and emphasizes open communication. Collaboration embodies the spirit of equality and cooperation, fostering an environment where everyone's contributions are valued and recognized.

As a project leader, evading challenges during project management is nonnegotiable. Every project present it own challenges, some challenges affects various aspects of the project, that’s scope, budget, timeline and operation. Challenges can be unique and new to the project leader and addressing such issues depends on several variables including, adaptability and flexibility, and complexity of the problem

The leader is the frontline for the team, knowing when to keep calm and have time to think is important. Its easier to be resilient when you know when to step back a bit, keep your strengh when nothing can be done, to find another way to fix a situation. Planning time to see the big picture, improve or fix,is a good way to be able to face difficulties that will even happen when you dont expect it. It is easy to say but showing no weakness to keep the team focus will help you reach your common goals. Also protect your team for the same reason. Better show what you had to managed once its fixed, unless it’s important, also if the team can help, better share it.

As a sales leader, it's important to welcome new challenges with open arms. Part of being a successful means getting comfortable being uncomfortable, and taking on new challenges shows humility! This allows you to continuously grow your personal skill while leading by example.

Transitioning into management involves significant changes. Firstly, you shift from using skills as a standout individual contributor (IC) to mastering entirely new leadership skills, while allowing others to fill your previous role. Secondly, instead of meeting set workplace standards, you're now responsible for creating and enforcing them. You become the sole authority on workplace norms, a critical role where failing to enforce these standards can lead to leadership failure. To effectively enforce these standards, clarity on the rules is essential, embodying the "Loving Hard-Ass" leader archetype.

I was recently put over an event that I had no prior knowledge or experience of. And even though there were plenty of people within the agency that had played a role in planning it in previous years, I was asked to take charge. By taking things head on, preparing everyone for things that were out of my control, and giving everyone a clear role, we were able to pull off a fantastic evening. Even to the point that people said it’s the smoothest it had ever gone! Sometimes not knowing how something typically goes is your biggest advantage. Accept challenges even when you don’t ask for them and see what you can come up with.

A good leader always leads by example, exhibiting honesty, transparency, and accountability in their actions. The one who listens actively to diverse perspectives and empower others to succeed. A leader will not only achieve results but also develops and uplifts those around them, creating a positive and impactful legacy.

In my journey, I've come to realize that the best leaders are indeed lifelong learners. Staying updated with the latest trends and investing time in professional development through courses, workshops, and seminars are pivotal to enhancing leadership skills. However, there's an equally important aspect often overlooked: the power of reflection and note-taking. In my own career, taking time to write down key lessons and revisiting these notes has proven invaluable. This practice not only helps consolidate my learning but also creates a personal resource I can return to when faced with similar challenges in the future.

This is in my opinion is one of the more crucial aspects to effective leadership. In my experience, leadership is characterised by different expectations at each turn and which require different approaches. The ability to learn everyday, be better than yourself, and go the extra mile is always helpful. This can be achieved following identification of proper coaches and mentors, remaining open to feedback (more importantly from your junior team), and being comfortable with the ambiguity within your role and expectations will go a long way.

Have a clear understanding of the difference between a leader and manager. Critically reflecting on this difference and the potential impact on your team is essential. Strong leaders inspire growth, productivity and a sense of purpose and autonomy in their teams. Managers focus on details of execution, coordination, short-term objectives, and control processes. While the end goal may be similar, the process is vastly different as can be the impact on the teams functioning.

A leader must set a clear goal (what to accomplish?) and target (how much to accomplish and by when?). Also, tracking the team's progress towards achieving that goal (using indicators, etc.) will be great.
