In web design, we have to Familiarize ourselves with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) to ensure that our designs meet established accessibility standards. This is to ensure making content more accessible while following the guidelines for auditory, visual and cognitive disabilities.

Familiarize yourself with WCAG, more specifically, the latest version, which is WCAG 2.1. According to these guidelines, there are many different kinds of recommendations for making content more accessible to people with disabilities. Following such guidelines will give you an accessible user experience to people with auditory, cognitive, neurological, physical, speech, and visual disabilities.

ARIA attributes significantly enhance accessibility for dynamic content and sophisticated user interface controls. It is done by setting ARIA roles and properties to ensure that your website functionality is communicated to users using assistive technologies like screen readers, which otherwise can miss complex interactivity and dynamism. In one of my projects, ARIA integration has demonstrated a big improvement in usability for screen reader users.
